Staff Profiles

David J. Keil, EA

David Keil is a proud graduate of San Diego State University, where he earned his degree in Communication. A lifelong learner and leader, David achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, setting the foundation for his dedication to excellence and service.

David’s career journey includes working for renowned organizations such as The Walt Disney Company, SeaWorld San Diego, and Marriott Hotels & Resorts. He also served as a Senior District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America, where he further honed his leadership and organizational skills. Transitioning into financial services, David became a financial service representative for a major credit union before discovering his passion for tax work.

Inspired by his father’s legacy, David joined the family firm and became an Enrolled Agent in 2015, specializing in representing taxpayers before the IRS. His commitment to the field of taxation is evident in his leadership within the Orange County Chapter of the California Society of Tax Consultants. David served as Chapter President from 2020 through 2023 and currently serves as an active director on the chapter board.

Outside of his professional endeavors, David is passionate about giving back to his community. He actively volunteers with foster children through Olive Crest of Orange County, providing support and mentorship to youth in need. Additionally, he continues to lend his expertise as a supporting advisor to Boy Scout Troop 850 in Villa Park, a group close to his heart.

David and his wife, Amber, live in the city of Orange with their playful puppy Espy. They are active members of the Anaheim campus of Eastside Christian Church and cherish spending time with family, friends, and their local community.

Michelle Angulo

Michelle Angulo brings extensive administrative and customer service experience to her role at Keil Tax Service. With a strong background in office management, tax preparation, and accounting, she is dedicated to supporting clients and ensuring smooth office operations.

Previously, Michelle served as Office Manager for Accudata Accounting Advisors in Hermosa Beach, where she oversaw tax document preparation, business incorporation, and financial analyses. Known for her exceptional interpersonal skills, Michelle excels at fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

An Anaheim resident and mother of two, Michelle enjoys working on creative projects such as social media management, creating content, and exploring innovative solutions to enhance both client and team experiences.

In Memory of Our Beloved Founder

John C. Keil, EA

John C. Keil attended California State University Fullerton, where he majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Economics. A driven and accomplished professional, John enjoyed a distinguished 29-year career as a Vice President for a major bank before pursuing a second career as a tax professional.

In 2001, John became an Enrolled Agent, dedicating his expertise to serving small businesses, individuals, and families with trusts and estates. Renowned for his deep knowledge and personable approach, John quickly established himself as a faithful advisor in the tax community.

John’s commitment to his profession extended beyond his practice. He served as President of the Orange County Chapter of the California Society of Tax Consultants and contributed significantly to the development of his peers through years of teaching educational seminars. His passion for sharing knowledge and fostering growth left a lasting legacy within the tax profession.

John and his wife, Sandra, were long-time residents of the city of Orange, where they built a life of love and service for over 40 years. Together, they raised two successful sons, Bradley and David, instilling in them values of hard work, integrity, and community.

John’s unexpected passing in May of 2022 was deeply felt by his family, friends, clients and colleagues, all who remember him for his kindness, dedication, and the profound impact he made both personally and professionally.
